I published two amazing new patterns this past week. The first one I am so excited about!
Homespun Magic was designed specifically to work with handspun yarn of nearly any weight. I've created a quick tutorial on finding the right needle size for your handspun and then given you the instructions to make a beautiful shawl or if you only have a little bit of yarn you can still make a cute scarf sized piece.
Next up is a super quick cowl. The Tamarack Cowl can be knit up in an evening or two. Perfect for those last minute gifts or you can get a head start on your Christmas knitting.

spindle. Cost $45

Nuno Felting: Make a beautiful silk
and wool scarf
Scarves: many
of us don't leave home without them. They are imperative in the winter but they
can also simply be fashionable. In this class you will learn the modern wet
felting technique called Nuno which creates a durable, elegant and warm
material by combing wool with silk or other light weight fabric. Nuno felting
is especially exciting because it is a bit like painting with wool on a silk
canvas with an unpredictable and exciting outcome. Come with a sense of
adventure and patience! Cost $50
includes all materials
This class
will be held outdoors and there is a good chance you will get wet. Please dress
appropriately.

Introducing 2 New Hat Patterns ~ Bohemia and Ripley
We've had quite the winter this year. Being that this was my first winter way up north I wasn't sure what to expect, but it sure wasn't more than 330 inches of snow! That's more than 27 feet of snow!! Can you imagine it? I haven't seen my clothesline since Christmas.
Even with all that snow though, I loved it. I loved every crazy, snowy moment of it. It also made for lots and lots of knitting time. I finished so many projects and also started several new patterns that will hopefully be released in the near future.
The first of these patterns are 2 different hats that were inspired by the local ski slopes. The slopes were so much fun to watch, but I wasn't getting on the skis myself. I have a little thing about speeding uncontrollably down a hill.
First up is Ripley. This hat is a quick knit with chunky cables.
The second hat is Bohemia. While this hat is a little more complicated, it's still a super fun knit and looks great when finished.

We are moving!
Sorry this poor blog has been neglected lately. We've got some exciting news though!
We are moving!!
I am so excited! We are moving in exactly one month to the awesome upper peninsula of Michigan. I can hardly believe it.
In addition to moving, we will be opening up a retail brick and mortar store where you can come by and see us whenever you like. :)
In the meantime, I am trying to still ship products as efficiently as possible, but it may get a little more difficult as I end up with more boxes to work around. I will keep you all in the loop and will always let you know if there is any delay of any kind.
We will be taking a week off to complete the move and get internet hooked up at the new house. I will put an announcement up on the site as soon as I know the exact dates.
